Pictures! Pictures! Pictures!

It's that time again! Time for a picture post! Most of these were taken this past weekend in the mountains. We had a fun camping trip (minus the rain!). Gabe walked all over the place pushing his little Tonka truck. In the spirit of his cousin JB, he even walked from our camper to Grammy and Pop's! He LOVES walking behind his truck and I think he would have pushed it all day and night if we had let him. Although he probably would have also stopped to eat! He LOVES to eat!! Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

This is a storyboard I made of Gabe a while back! It cracked me up the way he was holding his graham cracker stick!

Oh, Oh, Oh, Walk Like a Man

It's finally time for this post! The one we've all been waiting for! Yes, the boy has finally let go. He is taking steps!!! Watch out world! Here comes Gabe!!!!

See, yesterday when I picked him up from daycare one of his teachers said "Guess what Gabe did today"? I really didn't want to say "What?" because of the report I had gotten the day before. The day before, I was told that Gabe was beating up on the littler babies in the room (his daddy told him to please pick on someone his own size) AND that he was "lovin up" on one of the little girls in his room (Daddy wanted to know if she was cute or not! She is...). So as you can see, I was kind of scared to say "what" but I did anyway. She said, he has been walking all over the room today! We can't contain him!! I was a little sad that I missed all of that so I made Gabe promise that he would show me when we got home.

He was standing in the kitchen holding on to his highchair legs (standing is not a problem, it's the letting go part that is). And he DID let go. He stood there for a second, looking around like, ok, what do I do next? Then he did it! He picked up one foot, set it down in a different spot. Then he did it with the other foot. And again, and again, until he couldn't go any further and he plopped down on his tushie. It was the sweetest thing! Brought tears to a mama's eyes! The only bad part was that Daddy missed it. He was outside at the time but Gabe did finally, after some coaxing, do a repeat of the action later for Daddy. And yes, we have it on video!!!

Tweleve and a half months - finally walking!
