I've noticed that ever since Gabe has been in his new classroom, he has been saying and doing some new things! One thing is clapping. He's been clapping for a while now, but he claps all of the time now! After you finish a book or a song... I noticed that when I was in his classroom yesterday, one of his teachers was reading a book and having different kids jump up and down and stuff and there was a lot of clapping going on so I guess that's where it comes from! The neat one is that you can go "if you're happy and you know it clap your hands"... and he DOES IT!
He's also added I, E, I, E, I to his collection. I believe it translates to E, I, E, I, O. He is obsessed with his Baby McDonald movie and that song is in there at least twice that I can think of. He will sit and watch it from start to finish without moving a muscle. And he'll get really upset with you if you turn it off before it's over. It's nice though, if you need to go get something quick accomplished!
He says something that I translate into "that". He will point at stuff and say it. Maybe he is asking me "what's that"? Or maybe he's showing me "that". But either way, I'm pretty sure he says "that".
He will say some other things too if prompted - "woof" for a dog, "moo" for a cow, he will look up in the sky and say "moon" sometimes and I think I have heard him say "bird" before. Who knows though! I guess I could be imagining it all!! But it's fun to listen to and to try and figure out what he is saying. He is generally pretty quiet and thoughtful acting so when he busts out with some long giberish something or other, I usually try and pay attention (and smile because it is super cute).
My favorite sound though is his laughter. He loves for me to bury his feet in my hair and tickle them with my head while he is laying on the floor. He just laughs and laughs. I tell him he has stinky feet and he thinks that is hilarious. He has no clue what stinky feet are, but it is certainly funny to him. (And truthfully, he really does have stinky feet!). But that's ok. Stinky feet and all, he is perfect to me.

The Times, They are a Changin'
Gabe is moving up! This week he transitioned to a new room at his daycare. So far he is LOVING the new room. They said he gets in there and sees where he wants to go, and goes there, and plays with what he wants, - he is so independent. He LOVES going outside on the playground and gets to go at leats twice a day in his new room. He thinks that is the best! They all eat their meals together, at little tables, like one big happy family. He certainly doesn't have a problem with this since he LOVES to eat!! They also take their naps on cots instead of cribs. I've been a little nervous about this one, but yesterday was his first "nap" day in there and he slept for over an hour on his cot! What a champ. Today I am going to take lunch by to his teachers that he is leaving and I will get to go down and peep at him in his new room! He should be asleep on his cot at that time. We'll see...
Edited to add: I just went by there and he was sacked out on his cot. His teacher said that he walked over there and just laid down and went on to sleep - no patting him or anything. He's such a little champ! I'm such a proud mommy!
Here are some of his latest pictures at Nana's request in case she hasn't seen them on his website.

And a couple more, just for fun...

Enjoy!!
