Better, Finally

Gabe is doing so much better today. He was finally able to start eating like normal yesterday and his fever finally went down sometime during the day yesterday, and hopefully it will stay that way! Through all of this, he just reminded me of how so very special he is. Yes, he cried some, but not much. He woke up a few times the first few nights, but not much (well, there was that ONE night...). Even when he had a fever of 101.9, and couldn't breathe through his nose, he was still the sweetest, mild mannered baby you ever did meet. He still continued to smile as much as possible, cooed and played some too. He is so easy and laid back. He is totally and 100% worth that long wait!

And, he looks just super cute today in his plaid button-down shirt and blue jeans! Hopefully he won't get sweet potatoes on it today and I can get his picture this afternoon!

The Land of Sick Baby

Gabe has his first ear infection. He has had a cough and stuffy nose for about 3 weeks now and earlier this months I took him to the doctor and they said his lungs were clear and his ears looked good and he was probably getting over it. Well, he didn't. This weekend the cough was still going strong and he started running a fever on Sunday night, so Monday I took him in and sure enough, he has an ear infection. He ran a fever all day yesterday and still had one this morning. He is not real interested in eating because it hurts him to suck on his bottle but he is doing pretty good with drinking out of his bottle like a cup. He is on an antibiotic and motrin for the fever. Please send him some get well prayers.

Yes, I know I am running a little late here! Please forgive me!! I really wanted to share with you the CUTE pictures I took of Gabe on Valentine's Day in his Cute "little man" outfit and yesterday I brought the camera with me to download the pictures, but left the chord at home! Oh well. Today I did better!! All in all though, Gabe had a great first Valentine's Day! Here are the pics...

Daddy finally looked at The Land of Gabe the other night and commented on how there were no pictures of me. Well, that one's simple, there really aren't that many pictures of me because I am the photographer at our house. So on Valentine's Day, it was farily warm when we got home that afternoon, and Daddy was outside with the girls so I took the camera out there for a photo op of me and Gabe. Here is what happened...

Visitors

This weekend, we had COMPANY!! Nana and Pa came up to visit and love on baby Gabe. And he got plenty of love!! Nana really enjoyed feeding Gabe some cereal (we added pears this weekend!). On Saturday we shopped with Nana and Grammy. I must say, these too can really wear me out, but Baby Gabe was a trooper! Not so much as a whimper except when he got a bit hungry one time, but he calmed down easily then too. He just enjoyed being strolled around the mall, watching the people and taking little cat naps.

I also caught some cute shots of him one evening "reading" his little book. It sings a little song on each page that babies must think is so cute. Mammas and daddies on the other hand... Well, thanks Aunt Mary for the "cute" book!! ;)
