Fresh air and fun

Last weekend we all packed up the camper and headed toward the mountains. We had planned the trip for a while, but it was iffy all week if we were going to make it or not with all of the sickness at our house. Gabe continued throwing up through Thursday and I was throwing up on Wed and Daddy was throwing up on Thursday! It was not real fun but we all hoped that some fresh mountian air would do us all some good. I think it did for the most part. I will say, it didn't do our pocketbooks any good because after our second camping trip in our humble little camper, we have officially decided that we need to up grade. So we are in the market to sell our camper if anyone out there is interested!! :) But back to last weekend! Here are some pictures of Gabe having a grand time at the campground.

Look at my two handsome men...

Daddy and I often sit our under the awning to eat, so why not Gabe too?!

On Saturday Grammy and Pop drove up to spend the day with us and we all drove over to Dalonega to a bluegrass festival. It was fun to walk around and listen to the music. I think Gabe really enjoyed it. He was such a good little boy the whole time and never complained once. Our next camping trip is scheduled for May 5 where we will go to Stone Mountain Park. My company is having their picnic there on Saturday and we thought it would be fin to combine a camping trip with the picnic. I'm sure there will be lots of pictures of that to share with you soon!!

Yesterday I said...

"Then we dressed up all nice and pretty and went to church where Gabe had a good time playing with the other little babies in the nursery while mama and daddy went to church service."

What I meant to say was...

"Then we dressed up all nice and pretty and went to church where Gabe had a good time playing with the other little babies in the nursery and apparently catching a nasty stomach virus while mama and daddy went to church service."

Poor baby is throwing up AGAIN!! It's official - every other week we either miss days at the daycare, visit the doctor, or both. I believe this is just one of those ol viruses - could be that he never fully got over the one from last time. And since they can't really do anything for him, hopefully the week will pass without us shelling out a $15 office visit at the doctor's office. And this Friday we are supposed to go on our first camping trip for this camping season. Hopefully the little feller will get better by then. I am tired of being puked on and am not looking forward to the prospect of cleaning up puke in the camper (athough I was smart enough to buy some carpet cleaner and Febreeze to keep out there when I was at Walmart last night - this was after Gabe puked up his whole jar of sweet potaotes so I was in the puke cleaning up state of mind. I did forget Daddy's coffee though!!)!

Happy Easter

Hope you all had a Happy Easter at your house. We got up yesterday and let Gabe check out what the Easter bunny had brought him. Then we dressed up all nice and pretty and went to church where Gabe had a good time playing with the other little babies in the nursery while mama and daddy went to church service. After church we had lunch with Grammy and Pop at their house. It was a very good lunch and the Easter Bunny even stopped by Grammy's house and left some good stuff for Gabe over there too. Here are some pictures of our fun day...

Just an experiment...

Video hosting by Photobucket

I wanted to see if Blogger and Photobucket were going to let me share Gabe and his hilarious laughter with you. Let's give it a shot and see what happens...

(I think you have to click on the picture to make him laugh!).

This was Gabe sitting in his highchair and that is Daddy in the background "scaring" him. For some reason it totally cracks Gabe up when you scare him!

First Haircut!

Gabe is only 7.5 months old and already he has had to have his first haircut! He was so good for it too! He just sat on Daddy's lap and was such a good little boy while Miss Cady cut his brown locks off. Here is his "Before" picture...

And "During"...

And "After"...

This weekend we had visitors! Gabe got to show off his new haircut to Nana, Grandma, Aunt Mary, and cousins Jamie and JB. We had a great visit with all of them. Here is a shot of Gabe and his cousins...

Looks like a bunch of monkeys to me!!

Here is Gabe and his cousin Jamie. Cousin Jamie seems to really take to Gabe. That's a good thing since poor thing was convinced that her mama was going to take him home with them when they came to visit Gabe after he was born. I think now that she is convinced that Gabe is not another "baby brother" she thinks he is pretty cool...

Saturday we all had a chaotic meal at Cracker Barrel and ended up with some stylin coyboy hats for the fellows. Doesn't Gabe make a perfect cowbaby?

(Thank you JB for letting us borrow your trusty steed!).

Spring is here?

Living in Georgia, you learn not to get too excited about warmer weather in the "Spring" or cooler weather in the "Fall". Spring and fall and virtually non existant for us! But this weekend was absolutely gerogeous!! It was warm, sunny, and we all put on our shorts and spent some time outside. I got some great shots of Gabe and wanted to share them...

I love the way his toes were locked in on the tray of his stroller! Too sweet...

This picture shows how long his hair has gotten. Stay tuned next week for an entry on Gabe's first haircut!! It's happening this Friday!!

What a sweet little face...

We were very disappointed that Nana and Grandma didn't get to make the trip up this weekend. There was a nasty virus floating around down there and they were nice enough to keep it to themselves! (Which we highly appreciate by the way!). The plan is for them to come up this weekend instead and we are anxiously awaiting their arrival!! Hopefully they will be able to bring Aunt Mary and Jamie and JB too so that Gabe can play with his cousins! Looking forward to seeing you...
