Now about Gabe. He is such a little stinker! He says the funniest things.
The other night, Layla was fussing. Daddy was holding her in the bed and Gabe was laying beside them. He turned to Layla and said "Layla, be patient, mommy is coming back".
He has this thing for trucks. He LOVES them. For some reason though, he is terrified of the garbage truck. It likes to come while he is on the playground at daycare and pick up garbage form the dumpster that is right beside the playground. I guess he hates the noises it makes because he gets all upset and even shakes when it shows up.
For some reason he gets the garbage truck and a snow plow confused. Not sure why, it's not like we have a ton of snowplows in Georgia! Anyway, the other day, Layla was once again fussing and he said "it's OK Layla, it's just a snowplow. Don't cry". So sweet...
He is very smart and very vocal for his age. He can say things that you never would think a two and half year would even think about. He tests us too. Quite often. The other evening he decided at 9pm that he would finally eat his supper - a shells and cheese dish that I made. He called it spaghetti. He really enjoyed his "spaghetti" and told his daddy so. So daddy told him the polite thing to do would be to come and tell mommy that he enjoyed his supper. He said his ever so famous "NO". He is bad about that... Anyway, it was bedtime and he and daddy were arguing because he wouldn't tell me he enjoyed his supper and daddy went to bed without Gabe (Gabe has been sleeping in Daddy's bed a lot lately and I have been sleeping in Layla's room...a whole nother story). Anyway, Gabe realized that he had been shut out of Dadddy's room so he grabbed his pillow off the couch, looked me square in the eye and said "enjoyed supper mama". He SOOOOO knew just what he was doing. He tests us, he really does.
But he is precious and it's hard to stay mad at him when he is upsetting us. He DOES say and do the funniest things. And when it all seems like it's hopeless, he'll wrap those little arms around my neck and say "I love you mama". Be still my beating heart...

I should send Jared over or vica versa. Jared LOVES "garbies" to the point that on Garbage Day he wakes up early on purpose to go look for them! He points them out whenever we are out and owns 5 or 6. I am sure Jared could explain to Gabe the wonders of the Garbage Truck and then you would have a whole new set of issues! LOL! What a cutie pie!
